Welcome to the World of Pastabilities!

Welcome to the World of Pastabilities!

Throughout the month of October, celebrate National Pasta Month and World Pasta Day (Oct. 25th) with the Wheat Foods Council. The information contained on the following pages will help you and your family “taste” pasta as it is enjoyed in other countries and cultures around the globe inviting you on a deliciously enlightening flavor and knowledge journey.

Although preparation and accompanying ingredients vary, love for pasta is universal. As for who is eating more, the Italians lead the pack with per capita pasta consumption at 62 pounds followed by Venezuela at 29 pounds, Tunisia at 26 pounds, Greece at 22 pounds, Switzerland 21 pounds and the United States at 20 pounds.

Through World of Pastabilities you will learn how pasta is eaten in other cuisines, what pasta is made from, America’s role in global pasta production and consumption, pasta’s nutritional benefits and how to make tasty pasta dishes from Italy, Mexico, North Africa, Russia and the Mediterranean.

We invite you to peruse the many "pastabilities" on our menu.
